I got the pleasure of attempting to photograph Anna, her children, and her mum and dad... I realized a lot of things.. one, I need a lens with a shorter focal length, that bedroom is way too small. Two, a busy toddler will not sit for 2 seconds, and three, just have some fun! Anna's parents are the greatest and so fun to be around, I love their personalities!!! So, it wasn't like I was taking shots at all, just sitting there and enjoying their company! Out of a possible 300 shots, I only kept half of it! But that's photography for you, you learn as you go.

So this was pretty much the family of 5 shots, trying to get little Luke to enjoy taking pictures!
In my recent entries I have been sharing some wisdom from, a book about the life of Ruth and the characteristics that made her an unforgettable woman.. And I feel compelled to share another point of interest so I will leave today with this thought.
Boldness has Power.
Thousands change their minds within 60 seconds. That would explain the breakdown of conversation in homes. How many of you know couples who can stare aimlessly at the tv without expressing their inner thoughts and needs? These needs and desires go unnoticed and soon, like an inferno, it will one day explode and destroy the bonds people share. How many of you know your exact expectations of your mate or children or employees?
It is our personal responsibility to educate those around us regarding our personal needs and desires. "Be kindly affectioned one to another with brotherly love; in honor preferring one another" Romans 12:10

You did a great job with the photo shoot, love the one of Anna and her two kiddos. Luke is a doll! And I know what you mean about the 50mm being a bit too close-up. It's good for portrait shots because it doesn't distort the facial features, but you've got to have a large room to back up in.
Talk soon!

Wow, what book are you reading?? Ruth is one of my favorite people in the Bible. To turn from everything she had known and follow her mother-in-law!!! She was such an awesome lady.
Great pics, really looks like ya'll had fun.

Ain't that the truth about expressing yourself. I am wanting another camera lens, too, R. Going back and forth between 35mm or an 85mm. I need to be taking more pictures to be totally honest with you. Feeling a little stuck with the business side of creativity.

well I will say this those are some awesome pics. I mean why have all of them looking at the camera when you can get shots of them having a blast and laughing their heads off, true might not be a picture for the wall but won't it bring back awesome memories

Wonderful photos you just captured the moment. Love the way you did that. I know what you mean about the lenses. I also haven't got the right one, so difficult to change lenses all the time. You really need a camera with every lens don't you :)
