I know this blog has long been neglected!
On the flip side, if you follow me on IG, you know I'm very much alive and still posting a photo a day (most days).
Last week was my Spring Break, but my kids had school. Their Spring Break was the week before, when "I" was in school. Go figure, they didn't plan it to be the same week as college kids. So this year was a little different for my two kiddos. Usually we plan some fun activities and lots of pool/beach time. But they were home, left to fend for themselves, while I went to school.
Back to MY Spring Break... I enjoyed every single "free" minute I had! You can bet I did not spend it doing much homework, on the occasion, I sneaked in a few math problems. For the most part it was "thee" most relaxing week I've had in (what seems like a LONG time). The best part (drum roll) hubby took the week off too! I couldn't ask for a better Spring Break! I was completely "Spoiled" by that man, I am so greatful.
I made sure I spent all those "free" minutes wisely. With these guys:
I also started AND CAUGHT UP on my Project Life. I did 12 weeks in 2 days! (Boom!) I didn't want to waste all my time at home scrapbooking, so I made sure I went into over drive on that project.
(Pics next time, I really want to share the simplicity of it all!)
And my boy went to his GF Senior Prom... (awww)
"Thank you my LOVE for EVERYTHING!"
I could not ask for anything more than being able to spend my Spring Break with you!
You are truly my best friend and my forever love.. I look forward to our next "little vacation.
And my Monday Selfie.. all ready for school (sort of).
It's back to the grind today... It was bittersweet but neccesary even though every part of me just wanted to snuggle up under my sheets as I listened to the rain fall.
Today a counselor from the Communciation Arts Program came and talked to us indvidually helping us plan out the next semester. As much as I missed being home with my kids, I started this with an end goal in mind, and I'm a "fighter" a "doer" and I will graduate in a few years making (yet another) dream of mine come true. If you could only see my face light up when I'm in my CA classes, you'd witness true passion in my eyes. I can't even begin to express how much all this new knowledge makes me feel so alive and happy. It's a LOT of work (my brain has never worked so hard) but I just knew I was not the settling type. There's so much out there in this great big world and I am always in pursuit of making the most out of this life of mine. I look forward to this new adventure of mine, even though it just started.
(My next goal after this one, is to back-pack across Europe with my hubby and a camera in hand.. give me (uhmmm..) 5 years and I'll get you those photos!)
“Dare to dream! If you did not have the capability to make your wildest wishes come true, your mind would not have the capacity to conjure such ideas in the first place. There is no limitation on what you can potentially achieve, except for the limitation you choose to impose on your own imagination. What you believe to be possible will always come to pass - to the extent that you deem it possible. It really is as simple as that.”
